Intuitive energy therapy sessions are offered as a compliment to therapy. Energy therapy sessions are not the same as a counseling session, but instead are often times more quiet, allowing both the client and the practitioner to tune into the subtle energies of the body. When the practitioner begins to facilitate the energy healing, the life force begin to balance excess or stagnation of energy. How to prepare:
It can be helpful to increase water intake 24-48 hours before a session. This allows the energy to move more fluidly through the body.
You are welcome to wear any you might normally wear, but comfortable clothing is preferred when receiving treatment.
You will be sent paperwork through the client portal prior to our appointment. This will help the practitioner prepare for you, consider any allergies you might have to essential oils and provide pertinent information
Before the session:
We will begin by answering any questions you might have and discuss your goals for treatment.
You will be invited to either lay on the massage table or to sit in a chair, fully clothed.
During the session:
Once the session begins you will be guided into your breath, allowing you to relax deeper and sometimes even feel the movement of the energy throughout and around your body.
While the practitioner may identify blocks in your energy body, you are not obligated to discuss these blockages or imbalances. Your practitioner can hold space for you if you feel that verbally processing these experiences will help release the energy. Your practitioner will not diagnose or give you advice.
Once the session is complete, there is space to process the experience of the energy work, as often times it can be a new and profound experience when receiving this type of work.
What is energy work?
Our bodies have a vital flow of energy pulsing through them. In the Chinese Medicine tradition this is known as, “Qi or Chi,” in yoga it’s called “Prana,” and in energy psychology it is known as, “Life Force Energy.” With practice, we can learn to tune into the subtle flow of energy in our bodies. Dr. Judith Orloff, Psychiatrist and Professor of Psychiatry at UCLA, says, “energy is the intuitive language of the body. It is the essence of who we are, a subtle vibration underlying everything physical, both living and inert.” In an intuitive energy session, the practitioner, will place their hands on energetic centers of your physical body, also known as chakras, to tune into the language of the body and identify blockages and stagnation related to past trauma, chronic stress, and other overwhelming situations, while simultaneously creating a deeply relaxing and nourishing experience. This is a great complementary treatment to therapy.

Energy medicine is a method to transmit healing energy to patient's body through the hands of a practitioner to restore or balance the body's energy field for better health. Energy healing therapy has been used to treat various health conditions. There are several approaches to energy medicine, such as hands-on, hands-off, and distant healing, where the healer and patient are in different locations. Interestingly, 57% of trials with distant healing intervention showed a positive treatment effect on any medical condition. Reiki intervention was further found to improve quality of life. It is a spiritual and vibrational healing intervention that maintains physiological homeostasis through a subtle vibrational field, without the involvement of physical manipulation or the ingestion or application of any substances. This spiritual form of healing not only tends to the physical ailment but also addresses spiritual growth. A small, qualitative study demonstrated the positive influence of spiritual healing on the survivorship experiences of breast cancer patients who were in long-term therapy.
